Directions to the 2008 Peach State Marching Competition
Directions from Atlanta
1. Take I-75 North to exit 290.
2. At end of ramp, turn left onto Highway 20.
3. Follow signs to Rome on Hwy 20 (will also show and join as
Highway 411 and Highway 41.).
4. It is approximately 30 miles from the interstate exit 290 to Rome.
5. In Rome, take Highway 27 North into town (also Turner McCall
Boulevard) just past Floyd Medical Center on the left.
6. At this red light, turn left onto GA 101 (also 2nd Avenue / Martha Berry
Highway / Highway 27 turn right).
7. Bus parking will be on the right behind the levee (sign and police
officers will be at entrance through levee).
8. Barron Stadium is on the left just past the entrance to bus parking.
9. Spectators should continue past Barron Stadium and turn left onto West
3rd Street.
10. Parking will be available down this street on your right and left.
Directions from North Carolina/South Carolina
1. Take I-85 S to Atlanta, turn onto I-285 N toward I-75.
2. Take I-75 North to exit 290.
3. At end of ramp, turn left onto Highway 20.

1. Take I-75 South to exit 306 at Adairsville.
2. At top of ramp, turn right onto Highway 140 West.
3. Travel approximately 10 miles to Highway 53.
4. Turn left (south) onto Highway 53.
5. Travel approximately 8 miles to Georgia Loop 1.
6. Turn right and travel approximately 3 miles to Highway 27 (3rd traffic
light after joining Loop 1).
7. Turn left (south) onto Highway 27.
8. Travel about 1.5 miles (passing Floyd Medical Center on the left) to
bus parking on the right behind the levee.
9. (Sign and police officers will be at entrance through levee).
10.Barron Stadium is on the left just past the entrance to bus parking.
11.Spectators should continue past Barron Stadium and turn left onto
West 3rd Street.
12.Parking will be available down this street on your right and left.
Directions from Birmingham
1. Take I-20 E to Georgia exit 11.
2. At the end of the ramp turn left onto Highway 27 North. Stay on
Highway 27 through Cedartown to Rome.
3. (Travel straight through Cedartown or use the by-pass around
Cedartown to Rome.)
4. In Rome, take Highway 27 North into town (also Turner McCall
Boulevard) just past Floyd Medical Center on the left.
5. At this red light, turn left onto GA 101 (also 2nd Avenue / Martha
Berry Highway/Highway 27 turn right).
